Reporting of Conveyances & Goods (RCG)
The Reporting of Conveyances and Goods (RCG)is a current requisite from the South African Revenue Service (SARS) under Section 8 and Rule 8 of the Customs Act 91 of 1964. This legislative requirement will be enacted under Chapter 3 of the Customs Control Act 31 of 2014 and the associated Rules once the new NCAP is gazetted into effect. The crux of the requirement is that all parties involved in the physical movement of goods and people into and out of the Republic of South Africa would need to register with SARS as a Cargo Reporter and as such furnish the Commissioner for SARS with advanced manifest information. With the implementation of the new eCase and ePenalty systems, SARS will be in a position to undertaken goods accounting and should Cargo Reporters be found non-compliant, penalties will be levied. This program is designed to take the learner through the details of RCG from start to finish, giving a holistic understand of what the reporting obligations are.
